Jama Integration Hub, Powered by Tasktop, Enhances Collaboration for Better, Faster Delivery

Integration Hub provides a key component of the Jama Agile Workflow Design, a prescriptive services offering to guide companies as they scale Agile practices across the enterprise

Portland, OR – November 18, 2014 – Today, Jama Software – a cloud-based collaborative solution used by Global 1,000 companies to define, build and test products – announced availability of the Jama Integration Hub. The Integration Hub, powered by Tasktop, will help companies overcome two of the most prevalent obstacles to effective product and application delivery: inadequate, untimely cross-team collaboration and lack of data sync between applications.

The many teams working on products at every stage in the definition and development lifecycle typically work in disconnected tools. This impedes information flow and challenges organizations to have a single, shared understanding of the product being built and also makes it difficult to track progress. Software developers increasingly use specialized Agile tools, such as Rally and Atlassian JIRA, for their discrete tasks. With its robust Integration Hub, Jama seamlessly connects data from these tools into one central repository of product information.

“Having a single source of truth is the No. 1 key to efficient product delivery,” said Eric Winquist, CEO of Jama Software. “Data housed in disconnected tools complicates information sharing, prevents collaboration, hinders decision-making, and delays time to market. At Jama, we believe teams that align around a shared understanding of what is being built and why ultimately deliver products with greater business value.”

In developing the Jama Integration Hub, Jama Software partnered with Tasktop to OEM a subset of Tasktop Sync. Tasktop Sync is an enterprise-grade integration bus that enables collaboration across software teams by integrating the most widely used tools in software development and delivery. With Jama Integration Hub, users can easily collaborate with their colleagues using JIRA, HP QC, Rally and Microsoft Team Foundation Server.

“As software increasingly drives product innovation, product teams are charged with scaling Agile practices across the organization,” said Dave West, Chief Product Officer at Tasktop. “Core to this is real-time collaboration and iteration among groups from strategy through definition, development and quality assurance. With the new Jama Integration Hub, customers get seamless flow of information across teams and traceability among artifacts such as requirements, features, use cases and defects.”

The Integration Hub is a critical component of Jama’s new Agile Workflow Design, also announced today. The first of several planned prescriptive service offerings, the Agile Workflow draws upon Jama’s seven years of experience consulting customers on optimizing collaboration among teams and configuring delivery environments to their organization’s process and methodology. This new offering, combined with direct connectivity to Agile development tools, gives Jama users a tangible framework for scaling Agile across the enterprise.

Both the Jama Integration Hub and the Agile Workflow Design are available immediately to Jama SaaS customers. For more information about the Jama Integration Hub, please visit: http://www.jamasoftware.com/integrations/
