Tasktop Announces Record Breaking 2016 Fiscal Year
New Offerings Increased Sales, Driving Success of World’s Largest, Most Complex Agile and DevOps Transformations
VANCOUVER, BC, Oct. 26, 2016– Tasktop, the leader in Software Lifecycle Integration (SLI), today announced that it increased revenues in fiscal year (FY) 2016 -- covering the reporting period Oct. 1, 2015 to Sept. 30, 2016 – by more than 75 percent compared with the previously record-breaking FY 2015.
According to Neelan Choksi, Tasktop president and COO, “It’s a testament to our partners, customers and employees that our growth continues to accelerate. This dramatic increase was largely the result of Agile, DevOps and Lean adoption in the world’s largest enterprises, which require integration and automation in order to be successful.”
Growth
Tasktop increased its global staffing to more than 100 employees to manage a year of rapid customer acquisition. Tasktop now serves 42 of the Fortune 100, growing its market position with some of the largest and most forward-thinking organizations in the automotive, financial services, healthcare, retail, public sector and other industries.
Product
In FY 2016, Tasktop released a new style of integration. Previously, Tasktop Sync provided high-fidelity synchronization of artifacts across systems, and Tasktop Data enabled the collection of activity streams into a central database for cross-lifecycle dashboards, KPIs and reports. In FY 2016, Tasktop introduced its Gateway capability, which allows events from dozens of additional DevOps tools to create and modify artifacts in the entire range of Agile and ALM, PPM and ITSM tools supported by Tasktop. This connects Agile and DevOps initiatives and enables Lean initiatives through unprecedented visibility across the entire lifecycle.
Tasktop also launched new integrations for Agile and project management (HP ALM Octane, Microsoft Project Server, LeanKit, TargetProcess, Pivotal Tracker) and visual modeling for requirements management (Sparx EA). Tasktop also released updates for new versions of the third-party tools it supports. Tasktop’s world-class test infrastructure supports more than 300 versions of endpoint products, enabling customers’ confidence that their tools remain integrated as they upgrade toolchains.
Partnerships
In FY 2016, Tasktop continued to expand its integration network with partnerships and OEMs among the “who’s who” of Agile and DevOps. It ramped up go-to-market activities with key OEM partners including Blueprint, iRise, Jama, LeanKit, Tricentis and others.
In close collaboration with HPE, Tasktop announced its integration for HPE ALM to HPE ALM Octane, which enables users to adopt the new Octane product while still maintaining HPE ALM as a system of record for some QA activities.
Tasktop also expanded its reach into a new category of Kanban tools by forming partnerships with LeanKit and TargetProcess. The LeanKit partnership is noteworthy because it enables LeanKit to distribute a version of Tasktop Sync to its customers. Combining Tasktop and LeanKit provides fully automated, bi-directional synchronization between LeanKit and a broad range of enterprise applications, such as ServiceNow®, Jira and Microsoft TFS. Teams can work in their tool of choice while maintaining a single source of visibility into work details and status.
“We’re excited about our partnership with Tasktop, because it can help IT organizations break through some of their toughest barriers to achieving greater agility and speed,” said Denise Grey, CMO at LeanKit. “Combining LeanKit with Tasktop’s integration capabilities enables our customers to reduce cycle time, improve communication among teams and eliminate duplicate data entry. It’s truly a win for enterprises looking to move fast and deliver faster.”
Services
Tasktop also launched its Resource Center, one of many enhancements to its customer success and support portal, which now offers a broad collection of Agile/ALM/SDLC integration information.
