Tasktop Closes Out Record Breaking Fiscal Year 2015

Achieves Significant Growth in Sales, Partnerships, Employees, Markets

VANCOUVER, BC, Nov. 18, 2015Tasktop, the leader in Software Lifecycle Integration (SLI) and creator of the Eclipse Mylyn open source tool, today announced a highly successful fiscal year (FY) 2015 with significant sales growth for the reporting period Oct. 1, 2014 to Sept. 30, 2015.

“No matter what techniques organizations use to transform their software development and delivery -- whether it’s Agile, Lean or DevOps -- they are discovering that transformations are less effective if they can’t enable collaboration among practitioners, and management visibility across the entire lifecycle,” said Neelan Choksi, Tasktop president and COO. “This was our most successful fiscal year to date as enterprises came to us for the transformative effect that lifecycle integration has on their businesses.”

Growth

Tasktop increased global staffing by 20 percent during this past fiscal year – to about 100 employees -- with its customer-facing staff nearly tripling in that same time period. Tasktop also opened several offices, most significantly in the UK and California, and expanded its European footprint.

In addition, Tasktop now serves 27 of the Fortune 100, with some of the largest companies in the automotive, financial services, healthcare and retail industries joining as customers this past fiscal year.

Partnerships

In FY 2015, Tasktop expanded its integration network by 77 percent, initiated a new partnership program and added several Tasktop resellers and OEMs. These resellers and OEMs have played a major role in expanding the Tasktop customer base.

Tasktop launched its Certified Services Partner Program, in which partners become certified to deploy Tasktop Sync and provide SLI consulting services. New Certified Services partners in FY 2015 included A Better Solution, IntelliQA, ReleaseTEAM, Sodius and several others.

Tasktop also launched five new OEM partnerships, including Blueprint, iRise, Jama Software, Tricentis and VersionOne, for a total of 10. These vendors can now easily provide industry-leading integration technology directly to their customers while Tasktop handles product development, support, maintenance and ongoing updates as new versions of third-party tools are released.

“Vendors are increasingly finding that they require industry-leading integration technology to be competitive,” said Wesley Coelho, senior director of Business Development at Tasktop. “Our partnerships allow them to provide that capability in a cost-effective way so they can focus their development efforts on delivering their unique value proposition.”

Tasktop also added 10 new value-added resellers, including Orasi and Pegasie Technologies. These organizations augment their product and services offerings with Tasktop to implement a complete solution.

Product

In FY 2015, Tasktop continued its quarterly release cadence, both expanding the product ecosystem in the Tasktop Integration Network and continuing its innovation in integration technology. These innovations allow Tasktop’s products to accommodate extremely complex development workflows without custom development or professional services. This provides Tasktop’s enterprise customers with faster deployments, a lower total cost of ownership and higher success rates than competing techniques. In addition, this year Tasktop added Tasktop Data, which enables organizations to access the lifecycle data trapped in application tool silos, facilitating the discovery of new insights into the software delivery process.

New Release

Most recently, Tasktop released updated versions of all its products: Tasktop Dev 4.4, Tasktop Sync 4.4 and Tasktop Data 1.3. These releases included an expansion in the ecosystem (adding Planview Enterprise to both Sync and Data, and adding IBM Rational DOORS and Serena Dimensions RM to Data), as well as new technological innovations.

With this release, customers have an even greater ability to manage complex workflows, as well as a new level of traceability and visibility. Enhancements to both Tasktop Sync and Tasktop Data, coupled with Tasktop’s rich Artifact Relationship Management capability, enables organizations to automatically generate detailed cross-lifecycle artifact traceability reports. This not only provides greater insight to the the development and delivery process and supports initiatives for greater governance, but does so in a fully automated way, eliminating the manual work that organizations have traditionally faced while creating these reports.

Honors

In FY 2015, Co-founder and Chief Scientist Dr. Gail Murphy was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in the class of 2015 for her work in computer science. In addition, Director of Engineering Gunnar Wagenknecht received the Eclipse Community Lifetime Achievement Award.
