Tasktop Named as a Leader in Value Stream Management by Independent Research Firm

Received Highest Scores Possible in VSM Solution Model, Product Vision and Performance Criteria

VANCOUVER, BC, July 15, 2020 – Tasktop, a company leading the creation and definition of value stream management (VSM) solutions, today announced that it was among the select companies that Forrester invited to participate in its 2020 Forrester Wave™ evaluation, “The Forrester Wave™: Value Stream Management Solutions, Q3 2020.” In this evaluation, Tasktop was cited as a Leader in Value Stream Management.

In this evaluation, Tasktop’s top scores were in the VSM Solution Model, Product Vision and Performance criteria.

According to Forrester’s evaluation, “Tasktop’s innovative dashboard and flow metrics wins customers over. Tasktop Viz is a new offering since our last evaluation. Its dashboard is engaging and provides value stream insight and visibility at a glance, enabling users to uncover areas of waste and create plans that target improvement. In addition to Flow Metrics, [Tasktop] Viz featured strong and differentiating what-if predictive analytics to enable planners and leaders to experiment with different models before putting plans into motion.”

Forrester principal analyst and report author Christopher Condo also cited that “Customer references had very positive comments regarding Flow Metrics, with one customer noting that using Viz elevated its approach to VSM to truly focus on delivering outcomes.”

The report goes on to specify that “Clients that are shifting from a project-led to a product-led methodology and shifting their focus to outcomes should strongly consider Tasktop Viz.”

Tasktop Viz is a VSM platform that provides real-time visibility of software product value streams and actionable insights into obstacles impeding business value delivery. It implements the Flow Framework®, Tasktop's unique and prescriptive solution for connecting Agile and DevOps to the business, created by Tasktop Founder Dr. Mik Kersten.

“We are thrilled to have Tasktop recognized as a Leader by Forrester in VSM,” said Kersten. “Creating the Flow Framework involved collecting and understanding the value stream data of hundreds of organizations. We have been able to leverage those learnings to create an entirely new kind of VSM platform that allows large and complex organizations to start implementing the Flow Framework in a matter of days. The Flow FabricTM that Tasktop builds on ensures that you can be up and running regardless of your current or future tools and processes. Through Tasktop's no-code do-it-yourself modeling, business owners and tech managers can create actionable, product-specific dashboards in just a few clicks and get value from day one. We have been thrilled to see the very rapid adoption of Tasktop, and by how core it has become to measuring and managing the largest and most complex digital transformations.”

“We’re delighted to see our strategic partner Tasktop recognized by Forrester,” said Greg Gilmore, Planview CEO. “As Planview customers and, ultimately, the market shift toward a product-centric approach, Tasktop will continue to be a key partner for us in helping organizations at all stages of Agile transformation evolve how they connect strategy to delivery. Whether linking strategic portfolios to products, programs or Agile teams, we are united in giving all organizations a way to recognize the value of true business agility. Congratulations to the Tasktop team.”
